The short version

Every session includes professional hair and makeup, my 300+ piece client closet, guided posing, and a same-day reveal. I photograph one client a day, in Hermon, Maine.

Getting ready

Before your session.

Most of the prep is on me. Here's what's on you.

What should I wear?

Something that makes you feel comfortable and sexy. Whether you shop for the shoot or use lingerie you already have, try it on in advance so you know how it moves. I even photograph evening wear. One tip: skip anything too tight before your session, because sock and clothing marks show up in photos.

What if I don't have anything to wear?

Totally normal, and you're covered. Most clients do a combo: they bring an outfit or two of their own and pick the rest from my client closet, which has 300+ pieces in sizes XXS to 6X, shoes included.

Do you provide hair and makeup?

Yes. Professional hair and makeup is part of every session, eyelashes included. Just arrive with clean, dry hair and a clean, moisturized face.

Should I spray tan?

Please don't. Spray tans don't translate well in photos. Stay out of the sun for a week before your session, too, because sunburns and peeling skin don't photograph well.

What about waxing or shaving?

Plan ahead, and don't start anything new right before your session. If you want to try something new, give your skin at least a month to adjust.

Every body

"But what if I…?"

If you have a body, it's a boudoir body.

Am I too old for boudoir?

No one is too old. Let me repeat that: no one is too old! Many of my older clients can't believe how beautiful they are when they see themselves through my lens.

What if I'm not in "boudoir shape"?

There's no such thing. If you have a body, it's a boudoir body. I photograph every size and age, and my client closet runs XXS to 6X for a reason.

Do you photograph maternity boudoir?

Yes! Maternity boudoir is a beautiful way to celebrate your bump and everything your body is doing right now. My client closet includes around 15 maternity dresses, and you get the same hair and makeup and guided posing as every other session.

When should I schedule my maternity session?

The best time is 32 to 34 weeks. Reach out early in your pregnancy so we can save a date in that window.

Will you fix my "problem areas"?

I'll edit what needs editing, but I value authenticity and I won't airbrush you into oblivion. The right hair, makeup, outfit, pose, and lighting do most of the work.

If I'm nervous, will it show?

Nerves are natural, and I'm here to help. Before your shoot we talk through exactly what you want and how the day will go. We start with stretching and breathing, take a few test shots, and keep it fun.

Session day

What actually happens.

Plan to spend the day with me. You arrive at 9:00 am for hair and makeup, we shoot for up to 90 minutes, you break for lunch while I get your images ready, and then you see them the same day.

Do I need to know how to pose?

Nope. I direct everything, right down to your pinky finger. I'll even get into the pose myself so you know exactly what to do.

How long is a boudoir session?

Up to 90 minutes in front of the camera. With hair and makeup, lunch, and your same-day reveal, plan to spend the day with me.

Do you photograph couples and men?

Yes. Add a couples session for $500: you each get a mini boudoir session, then I photograph you together. Men's boudoir is welcome too. As Kat put it: "The photos of my partner and I came out incredible! It was nearly impossible to pick our favorites."

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! One friend is always welcome, as long as they understand the assignment: hype you up! They just can't be a distraction.

Where is your studio?

In Hermon, Maine, in the Greater Bangor area. Clients come from all over Maine, and Broadway is just a few minutes away for your lunch break.

Your images

Privacy, delivery, and keeping them.

Your images are yours, and they stay private.

Who will see my photos?

Only the people you choose. I never share your images with anyone, anywhere, unless you give me permission.

When do I see my images?

The same day. While you're at lunch I get them ready, and when you come back you see them for the first time, right there with me, and choose your favorites.

When will I get my final images?

Your gallery is delivered within 60 business days. Want them sooner? Priority editing and delivery ($150) gets them to you in under 30 business days.

Do I get my digital images?

Yes. Every collection includes high-resolution digital images with a print release, delivered in a private online gallery.

Can I order albums and prints?

Yes. Albums, metal prints, and keepsakes are available with any collection.
