Meet Jen Jackson · Boudoir Photographer in Bangor, Maine
I spent years not loving my body. Now I help women see what I see.
For most of my life I struggled with my self-image. Every magazine and commercial told me I could be beautiful "just the way I was"… as long as I bought what they were selling. Loving my body felt out of reach.
This is why I started T3 Portraits.
It took me a long time to get there. I learned to love my body for its strength, and for the imperfections I earned living my life. Now I want you to see the beauty I already see in you.
Why boudoir
I've stood exactly where you're standing.
In August 2022 I did my own boudoir session, sure I'd cringe at every frame. I didn't. That day changed the way I photograph women. When another chance came in November 2023, I jumped at it, and this time I was ready. I have my flaws, my scars, and my limits, and I know now that I'm beautiful anyway.
So when you tell me you're nervous, I get it.
I know what it feels like to walk in doubting yourself. I also know what it feels like to walk out seeing yourself differently. That second feeling is what I want for you.
What it's like to work with me
Luxury experience. Zero snobbery.
One client a day, so your session is never rushed and nobody is waiting on the next appointment.
I'm not a fancy person.
I live in sweatpants, and I've got enough tattoos to call myself "The Tatted Tog." (That's where the T3 comes from.) But on your day I go all out, because you deserve to be pampered.
You'll always know what's next.
I'm an Air Force veteran and AuDHD, which makes me a planner. Nothing gets sprung on you, and if you need a breather, we take one.
I notice the little things.
The tilt of your chin, the light on your collarbone. Those details turn a nice photo into a breathtaking one.
Every body is welcome.
Every size, every age, every bump, stretch mark, and scar. I pose you from head to toe, right down to your pinky finger.
My story
I don't remember a time without a camera in my hand.
When I was 7 or 8, I stole my mom's camera and used up all her film posing my friends. I was always the one with a camera. In high school I was on the yearbook staff, and while I was stationed in Guam with the U.S. Air Force, I fell in love with underwater photography.
Jax and I met in the Air Force and have been married for over 20 years. We share a love of photography, and in 2013 we shot our first paid session together. It was a wedding!
After we both retired from the Air Force, I came home to Maine in 2018 and brought my family with me. That's when we turned our passion into a business. Today we live in rural Maine with our three kids and a whole menagerie of cats and dogs.
